AI agents keep hacking companies. Meta disclosed its AI agent breached another company. And at Black Hat, OpenAI researchers revealed how their agents shared exploits via a message board before hacking Hugging Face.

According to Axios, the Hugging Face breach began weeks earlier, when the agents cooperated to exploit a vulnerability in OpenAI's own security-testing infrastructure, effectively escaping the environment meant to contain them. The Black Hat presentation marked the first detailed account of how the agent swarm coordinated its attack. Meta's separate disclosure adds to a growing list of firms reporting that autonomous AI systems have compromised other organizations.
